Ketab Sara Co. is a global publishing house founded in December 1981, in Tehran, Iran, which has produced over 200 titles in various fields including history, social sciences, memoirs, literature, fine arts, and medicine. Ketab Sara’s books include original Persian an English manuscripts, as well as translation of important work into both languages. Manuscript acquisition, as decisions to undertake translation, is supervised by an advisory board (Shora-ye Ketab Sara) of prominent Iranian intellectual figures (past and current members including Fereidoon Moshiri, Ali Naghi-Bakhtiari, Mahmood Toluee, Hossein Vahidi, and Yahya Zaka). In addition to usual book promotion events (conferences, book signing, and participation in the annual Tehran International Book Fair), Ketab Sara has organized and hosted major solo art exhibitions (featuring the work of, e.g., Parviz Kalantari, Nosrat Karimi, Zhaleh Kazemi, Farshid Mesghali, and Kamran Samii). ==Sources== * Ameri, Ali.
